Artisan Award Blog Hop: Day 5

Share
Today's card is my only re-make of an earlier card.  I stepped it up by adding rhinestones, changing my color scheme, and using a cool little trick to "glitter-fy" the sentiment.  I'm not sure if you can see the sparkle on the sentiment, but my upline taught me a cool technique a long time ago to be able to emboss over the ink color of your choice.  Ink your stamp in versamark first, then your ink color, and stamp.  The add your embossing powder and heat set.  I used iridescent ice for this card.  Isn't that a nifty trick to know??

Thanks, Angie! I consider it quite a compliment that you would want to case one of my cards. J

I love your remake and how did you do the 3D flower? My upline(who is my sister) showed me the trick too. It is so cool. Thanks goes out to Sarah for sharing her lovely card as well.

Thanks, Jackie! I used the scallop circle punch and punched out about 5 circles, then scrunched and unscrunched them up, and then put a rhinestone brad through them. Hope that is understandable. :) Thanks for stopping by and saying hi! ~H
