This stand-up card design practically screams "invitation" because it can double as both an invitation and a reminder. It stands up on its own to remind recipients the party is coming up! And, c'mon, that burger looks good enough to eat, so who could forget to come to the party and get a real one?? To create the stand-up card, start with a piece of 5-1/2" x 12" cardstock. Score at 2", 4", 8", and 10". Next, measure from the score line closest to each short edge to 3" down from the top and 4" in toward the center. Cut that piece out. Need a visual? Helpful Hint: To create smooth folds, be sure to use the Bone Folder! It is great for really making a card look crisp. The invitation itself is a pull-out card. I used the key tag punch to create a nice pull tab at the top, which makes sliding this card in and out a breeze. To create the pocket, I started with a 3-3/4" x 8" strip of summer sun cardstock and scored at 5.25 inches and folded. I used sticky strip to adhere the sided of the pocket. I stamped the greetings using Contempo Alphabet and Calendar Alphabet sets. To make the dotted lines, I used the mat pack guide and made small dots using the fine tip of the chocolate chip marker. And Voila! Dinner is served!
