What a Hoot!

I am trying to get in as much Last Chance Stampin' as possible! I am certainly going to shed a tear or two over some of my favorite items! For example, I used one of my all-time favorite alphabet sets in this two-page scrapbook layout "Big Deal Alphabet". It is on the last chance stamp sets list, and I don't know if I can possibly do without it!

Not all of the supplies I used on these pages are going, going, gone in just a couple of weeks. The So Tweet Chipboard (113893) is going to stay, and that is what I used for that adorable owl! The Owl and branch both come from this fantastically fun chipboard set:

I covered the owl with chocolate chip cardstock, snipped around the edges, and sanded using the sanding blocks (103301) to give the owl a perfectly polished final touch. No jagged snip marks on that owl! :) I used the 3/4" circle punch (107217) for the two yellow circles of his eyes, and a retired 1/4" circle punch for his pupils. I covered his beak in Tangerine Tango cardstock, trimmed, and went to work with my sanding block again to polish the edges. To color the branch, I used my Kiwi Kiss Stampin' Pad (111835) and sponge daubers (102892) to dab, dab, dab, just the right amount of color onto the chipboard.
