A Splash of Color

I was flipping through the pottery barn catalog and got a splash of color inspiration! Who knew this is what butterfly-print pillows translate into in card language! haha~ I love the Sweet Serendipity stamp set, too. The sentiments are perfect for telling a best friend how fantastic her friendship is, and that is just what this card is for! All Cracked Up!

With my studio in complete chaos, I thought I was about to ~crack~ until I slipped in a little Stampin' time! Here is what I came up with: The So Saffron cardstock just took a quick zip through my Big Shot and voila! textured background. For the circle-patterned Certainly Celery, I used versamark ink. Do you have lots of fun projects planned for your Sale-A-Bration DSP? Well, here's a tip you won't want to miss! I used two pieces of 3/4" DSP on either side of my So Saffron cardstock instead of a full piece. To color my chipboard white, I used whisper white craft ink and a sponge dauber. I tapped the dauber right on my ink pad and transferred to the chipboard. I need my Stampin' Space!

I have been stampin' in a spare bedroom, and teaching classes at my friend's studio (which has been fun) but with all the classes I've been doing, and all the extra space in the basement, I think it's time I put together a studio of my own!

I started with a completely empty room, and here is where I am at today after hauling all my stuff in. I have a way to go, but I think it is shaping up nicely so far. (I wish I had thought to take pictures before!!) I am right in the middle of creating my Stampin' Studio, but I'll keep you posted!
