Artisan Award Blog Hop: Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Artisan Award Blog Hop!  I hope you had fun checking out all of the projects on Day 1 and left the Artisans lots of comments of support.  :)  I mentioned this in one of my previous posts, but one of the things we talked about at our dinner with Shelli and Brent is how nerve-wracking and kinda scary it is to have your work out in front of  everyone.  It feels so personal, one artisan even mentioned how  it feels like having their underwear hanging out for everyone to see.  I thought that was a funny and pretty true way to put it.

2010-11 Artisan Award-Winning Projects Blog Hop

Welcome to our Artisan Award-winning Projects Blog Hop!  We are so excited to share our projects with you!  It still makes me giddy every time I hear someone mention the Artisan Award, it is just unbelievable that I actually won!  Thank you so much for encouraging me to enter and supporting me. It means the world to me.

Each weekday (M-F) for the next two weeks, we will be posting a new project, starting with our cards, then our scrapbook pages, and finally our 3-D items.  I hope you have fun checking out our projects (I know I can't wait to see my fellow winners projects, too!)

My first card is loaded with accessories.  I fell in love with so many of the accessories in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog, and when I decided to enter the Artisan Award contest, it gave me the perfect excuse to buy all of them. And then, I just couldn't decide what to use, so I had to use them all, of course!  :) I will even admit I caught myself humming Julie Andrews' "A few of my favorite things" when I was working on this card. Haha, I know, someone call the nerd patrol!

Stamps: Great Friend, Sprinkles (retired)

Paper: Basic Gray, Bordering Blue (retired), Rose Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, So Saffron

This is a card I CASE'd (CASE=Copy and Share All) from Stampin' Up!'s Summer Mini Catalog. I just love all of the cute projects that are featured in the catalog, it is so fun to see so many fantastic ideas all in one small publication! For this card, I used the "Red, White & Blue" Jumbo Wheel (118622) stamp. I adore the wheels, they are so easy to use! Just snap into the Jumbo Handle (103661), roll in ink pad, and roll on your cardstock. Presto! Adorable stamped images!
